Whites Metal Detector

The Whites metal detector is known throughout the treasure hunting community as a top of the line detector with the latest leading edge computer technology.

The Whites metal detector was the offspring of Ken White, Sr. who, in 1950 designed and built a Geiger Counter at the height of the uranium craze. White successfully manufactured them until 1958 when the U.S. government suddenly announced that it would no longer purchase uranium. Having the facilities and employees in place, White was persuaded to build a metal detector instead and soon orders started to pour in.

White’s Electronics continued to grow and is now a world leader in the manufacture and design of metal detectors. As technology changed in the electronics industry, White’s technology kept up with the change. Vacuum tubes were replaced by state of the art computer technology. Numerous patents were taken out for White’s sophisticated computer driven metal detectors.

The Whites DFX Spectrum E Series Metal Detector is only one of their top of the line models.
The DFX has multiple frequency operation which allows you to hunt in 3 kHz, 15 kHz, or use both frequencies simultaneously. It uses the White’s 9 Turn-on-and-Go! Programs- ready to hunt right out of the box.

You may use the “Best Data” displays for the most reliable target info, or use “Correlate” to reject iron and other questionable targets. Or, you can use the pro-designed programs or erase them and create, name and store your own custom metal detector programs.
Popular adjustments include Tone I.D., Sweep Speed, Silent Search, Fade Rate, Recovery Speed, Block Edit, Auto Trac® Speed and more.

The high-definition, extended temperature, back-lit display makes it easier to see, with double clock speed for very fast target response.
You can’t miss with the bold VDI numbers read out alongside target icons, and White’s exclusive Signagraph®. Then, you can just flip the trigger, activate the depth screen and see how deep to dig.

The DFX utilizes a powerful, waterproof 9″ search coil for maximum depth and versatility.

For power, the DFX uses a Slide-in Nicad Battery System for up to 15 hrs. of power-packed metal detector hunting on a single charge.
