The standard motion all-metal mode detects all metals, while the discrimination control eliminates iron and other unwanted metallic items. The Tracker IV has a two-tone audio signal that helps to distinguish between valuable metals like gold and silver from undesirable metals like iron and aluminum. It utilizes an intensity meter as its visual target system. And, it also has a ΒΌ inch headphone jack that’s compatible with most headphones for privacy while detecting or for noisy areas and will extend battery life. And, like all Bounty Hunter metal detectors, it runs on two 9-volt batteries
The search coil is an 8″ open style model which allows greater depth detection as well as easier pinpointing. The depth detection is excellent. It will find coin sized object up to 8 inches and will find large objects up to 3 feet in depth. The coil and stem are waterproof and can be used to detect damp grass or submerged for shallow water hunting. The coil is also interchangeable with other Bounty Hunter coils for different search application.
